It’s only $1 for kids and $4 for adults for essentially a mini-waterpark. City run place. Definitely more than a β€œsplash pad;” it’s a very very shallow slope from one side of the pool deck down to 3 or 4 ft deep with the deep part sectioned off for a couple swimming lanes. Lots of neat water features in the shallow parts. Can’t think of a better place to get young non-swimmers used to water. They have restrooms, changing rooms, and quarter-feed lockers. Normal park right next door, and also a skate park. Parking is usually pretty easy. Only open during the summer though, and hours can be inconsistent so check the schedule on the website.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with young children learning to swim, offering excellent value at just $1-4 entry. However, single parents may struggle with the one-child-per-adult rule, and unreliable opening hours make this a risky choice without calling ahead.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Check website schedule before visiting as hours are inconsistent and lifeguards may not show up
⏰Bring quarters for lockers and note the one child under 8 per adult rule
🎟️Best for young non-swimmers due to very shallow slope design
πŸš—Summer operation only with changing rooms and restrooms available

β€œMy son loved it and it wasn't too crowded. What gives it a 3 is one of the lifeguards who was an older man he was very overbearing, and made it uncomfortable to enjoy. Hovered way too unnecessarily”

β€œNice pool... If you can get in. They have all sorts of rules, inclined only one child under 8 per adult. Single parent of young kids? Too bad for you. The slide is rarely open.”

β€œIt is Sunday and the car full of kids I just brought to the pool can't swim.... because "no lifeguards showed up to work to day so they aren't open" .... way to be there for the community.... who is in charge?”
