1 / 3The Discovery Center
đ Philadelphia, NY
Free outdoor nature center set around a historic Philadelphia reservoir, featuring a 3/4-mile wildlife trail, visitor center with binocular lending, pollinator garden, and seasonal events including canoeing.
Awesome experience here!! I had a nice time watching the geese down at the water, and I was even lucky enough to see a bald eagle! Kind gentleman offered to let me take some videos and pics through this telescope he had, walked me and my dad inside and showed us around. I will be coming back! I also really like the little seed library, I took two packets :}
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 4 and up who can manage a 3/4-mile walking loop and have curiosity about wildlife. The combination of a free nature trail, loaner binoculars, and knowledgeable volunteer guides creates a genuinely educational outing.
