The Funplex

“This was my first visit ever to The Funplex in East Hanover, NJ, and I came with my two kids to enjoy go-karting and bowling. To be fair, the go-kart experience was excellent. The staff there were friendly, helpful, and made it a great experience for my kids. Unfortunately, the bowling experience was extremely frustrating and poorly managed. We started bowling on Lane 20, and while we were in the 9th frame, the entire game suddenly stopped and restarted for another customer. I went to the front desk and spoke with a staff member who apologized and explained that he couldn’t restore our game, so we would need to restart from the beginning. I understood and agreed without any issue. However, during the second game, when we reached the 6th frame, the game stopped again. When I returned to the front desk, I was met by a very rude female employee who told me, “Your time is up. Either you pay or you leave.” There was no apology, no explanation, and no acknowledgment that our game had already been interrupted twice due to system issues beyond our control. What should have been a fun family outing turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. Based on this visit, I would consider coming back for go-karts, but I do not recommend the bowling area at all, and customer service there seriously needs improvement. UPDATE: After my initial review, The Funplex management reached out, took the time to investigate what happened, apologized, and invited my family back for a complimentary bowling session. We returned this weekend, and the experience was excellent. Everything was clearly explained, the staff was polite and welcoming, and my kids had a great time. I really appreciate how professionally management handled the situation and how seriously they took the feedback.”

“This is my go-to place to take my niece and nephews. Pricing: The pricing is reasonable, and they have really great ticket/band options. You can even request to put all the game/attraction credits on (1) game card for convenience. Easy to refill and they have plenty of stations to reload and check your credit and ticket balance. Facility: They recently did some renovations, and it's looking great. I normally get skeeved out by smaller places similar to Funplex, but the facility is soo big, and the ceilings are high enough to not feel suffocated, especially if it's at peak hours. Restrooms are clean and convenient. The food options are also great.”

“The Funplex in East Hanover, NJ (182 NJ-10, East Hanover, NJ 07936) is a great spot for family fun with rides, arcade games, bowling, laser tag, go-karts, and in summer the Splashplex waterpark. It’s lively and entertaining for kids and adults. Prices can feel a bit high and it gets crowded on weekends, but overall it’s a good place for a fun day out.”

“The FunPlex —This place is a hidden Gem. It has so many attractions from rides. Bumper cars, indoor rollercoaster, Go carts. And Bowling, Their Ballocity room/ area is basically a fun area for kids and adults To shoot balls -throw balls or place balls into a machine within the area. You can throw it- blast it - have it all fall on you!! The Ballocity area is all securely mounted in the ballocity room. If you are an adult or a child it’s time to have a blast in a room with soft safe ball extravaganza fun. You definitely don’t want to miss this.. Theirs Lots of food and lots of arcades. Laser tag—-timed running obstacle courses- and much much much more!!! In the summer time there is outside water slides and lots of fun to do in the sun!! This is a great place to have a birthday party or any celebration.. they have private rooms for party’s. And they also have an amazing team to help in any way possible. Just ask and they will assist you.. I know there is much more that I am not mentioning. But it’s definitely a fun place to visit and have a great time.. My favorite part of this place was the bumper cars and Go carts.. I am definitely a need for speed type of person.. Enjoy Fun plex with family and friends. Have a great time with your loved ones.. and the best is when we are making memories with the ones we love and care for!!
