Underwood Family Ranch is my favorite place β€” truly one of the best spots for families! There’s so much fun for kids, with plenty of activities that keep them entertained for hours. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively, cheerful, and perfect for a family day out. If you visit on festival days, be prepared to spend around $100 per child for entrance, food, and activities, but honestly, it’s absolutely worth it. The experience, the memories, and the joy on the kids’ faces make it special every time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun and festive family outing!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Families with kids who can sustain a full day outdoors across a working farm setting get the most here. The variety of activities rewards those who plan ahead and arrive early. Activity tickets are purchased in bundles inside β€” budget accordingly for multiple children across multiple attractions.

β€œWe had an amazing time here! It’s a bit pricey but there is so much to do during the Fall harvest. This is a β€œspend the whole day” type of place, so I recommend coming prepared. You have to buy tickets to play games and see the animal up close, and that added up quickly in cost for a 3 families and 1 child. However, the tickets never expire and we were told you can use them year round. They still had really fun games that even us adults got into. The best part for us was the pumpkin patch and all the different kind of pumpkins. We would definitely come back.”

β€œHonestly, very fun. It was different and first time visiting a pumpkin patch farm. Great activities. I would recommend. I did feel a bit out of place by some staff, when we were in line to get in, or buying tickets, or to play games. In many places it appeared that they wanted to care for other families before us even if we made eye contact. To say the least we were next in line and staff preferred to help people who came or were after us. I’m not going to let that be my overall experience. Maybe they were just overwhelmed? I do suggest to check it out, other staff went out of their way to make you feel welcomed !”

β€œGreat little farm. Lots of different activities for the kiddos to enjoy. Some activities need to tickets to enter but they are reasonable. Pig races and live shows are always fun. Good variety of pumpkins available to purchase. Plenty of parking which is a plus. Highly recommended.”

Overview

Underwood Family Farms operates across Moorpark and Somis with full-day programming built around farm life. Pig races and live animal shows run on a schedule throughout the day. Gem mining, playground equipment, and pick-your-own fields keep kids occupied between shows. Seasonal festivals add themed layers β€” the Fall Harvest pumpkin patch is the busiest draw. Activity tickets are purchased separately inside.
