1 / 3Venice Oceanview Park
📍 Venice, CA
Freshly opened outdoor playground in Venice featuring surfboard climbing walls, steerable sailboats, and a giant octopus structure. Free entry, on-site parking, and toddler-friendly — bin capacity is the one weak point.
Super fun, well located, and filled with equipment suitable for just about any age, this brand new playground has space for lots of kids and families. The trash cans fill up quickly though, so please plan to pack it out and leave no trace 🙏🙏
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids from toddler age through primary school who want new, imaginative outdoor play equipment without paying entry. Locals will find it easiest given Venice street parking; visitors should use the on-site lot and arrive early on weekends when crowds build quickly.

“Awesome newly opened park, with thematic equipment like surfboards that are climbing walls, and sailboats to steer, giant octopus to climb on top of.”

“Good variety of brand new equipment. Best for locals as parking is always scarce in Venice. Very crowded.”

Overview
Venice Oceanview Park opened recently with a full suite of ocean-themed play structures: surfboard climbing walls, sailboats kids can actually steer, and a giant octopus to scramble over. The equipment spans a wide age range and there is enough of it to absorb a crowd. Parking exists on site, which is a rarity in Venice. Bring your own trash bags — the bins fill fast.
