I used to come here as I Kid with my dad and my sisters. One of the best memories I have when I was a kid, and I loved every moment of it. Can't believe it's still here and well taken care of. There is a variety of playgrounds here that include slides, Swings, and other fun playgrounds. You can take a nice bike ride, or just hang out and read a good book. They also have workout equipment too for the adults, and lots of picnic tables to enjoy a good lunch or a birthday party.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with young children who want variety and a sense of discovery. The dual-playground layout gives kids two distinct experiences in one visit, and the vintage animal structures are genuinely unlike anything else in the area. Weekday mornings are calm and social — Saturday tai-chi groups create a relaxed atmosphere.

“This is a park with personality. It has a historic playground of big animal statues from 1968, as well as a more modern playground. A usually-dry stream-bed winds between them, crossed by several little bridges. There are shaded picnic tables. On a Saturday morning, there were several groups doing tai-chi. Small restrooms are available. Altogether, a very nice atmosphere and great for little kids.”

“A welcome break for residents that is just a short walk away from where we are staying over Thanksgiving week. Vincent Lugo Park is a great pocket park for all ages. There is exercise equipment, picnic areas, and children's play area. Very family friendly and relaxing with all the greenery.”

Overview

Vincent Lugo Park houses two distinct play zones: a modern playground near the front and the historic 'Dinosaur Park' area at the rear, featuring 14 concrete animal structures installed in 1968 — including animal slides and a sandpit. A dry riverbed with small pedestrian bridges connects the zones. Adult exercise stations are scattered throughout, and shaded picnic tables are available across the grounds.
