1 / 2Almansor Park
π Alhambra, CA
Large community park featuring a rubber-floored playground, duck pond, gymnasium with volleyball, basketball, badminton and table tennis, plus walking trails and sports fields. Free entry with on-site parking.
Almansor Park is one of the best parks in the area. Itβs spacious, clean, and well maintained. Thereβs plenty of room to walk, run, picnic, or just hang out. The lake and open green space make it feel a lot bigger than most neighborhood parks, and itβs great for families. The playground area is solid, and thereβs always a good community vibe on weekends. The only downside is parking. It can be tough to find a spot during peak hours, especially on weekends or when thereβs an event going on. You may need to circle a bit or park farther out. Overall, a great local park and definitely worth visiting.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families who want a full park day mixing nature, play, and sport. The rubber playground surface suits younger children; older kids gravitate to the gym and sports fields. Arrive after midday for the best playground shade. Weekend parking is tight during events β walk in from surrounding streets if the lots are full.

βA quiet park with a clean environment, offering many trails for leisure activities to the public. The park is well-integrated with nature and home to many small animals. The playground equipment for young children shows some age, but it still offers a high level of entertainment and uniqueness. Kids continue to have a great time! Nature rating: π³π³π³π³π³β

βOne of my favorite parks, the little duck pond is always fun to visit but please remember to not feed the wildlife. They have lots of designated areas for sports and the kids playground is rubber floor and has plenty of shading especially after 3pm which is great to bring the kids to play after school. Their bathrooms are clean and always stocked.β

βThis park is so Much fun, so many people recreating and enjoying fun activities, the playgroud for the Toddlers and kids, the basketball courts, baseball courts, and soccer field. They even had a little pond where u can enjoy seeing different types of ducks and turtlesπ€© I mean, it has it all. Just wonderful. Really enjoyed my day here.β

Overview
Almansor Park spans significant acreage around a central duck pond and open sports fields. The rubber-floored playground is well-shaded after midday. An indoor gymnasium offers open play for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. Walking trails loop through the grounds past a Ralph Kiner baseball statue. Dogs must remain leashed throughout. The gazebo area collects bird droppings β pick seating elsewhere.
