West Hudson Park Splash Pad
📍 Kearny, NY
Free outdoor splash pad in West Hudson Park with varied water pressure features for all ages — gentle fountains for toddlers through to higher-pressure jets for older kids. Picnic tables and shaded seating throughout.
Such a nice way to spend a few hours on a sunny day! The water pad had nice features, some with high water pressure and others with lower water pressure which are good for toddlers. I brought my almost 2 year old and he loved it. There are shaded areas with picnic tables and benches all around the perimeter. There’s also a gazebo with benches.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
A strong free option for families with toddlers and young children on hot days. The range of water pressures means children from crawling age through early primary school all find something at their level. Arrive early on warm weekends to secure a shaded picnic table. The adjacent playground extends the outing naturally.

Overview
West Hudson Park Splash Pad offers free water play with a range of spray intensities: lower-pressure fountains work well for toddlers and very young children, as higher-pressure features keep older kids engaged. Shaded picnic tables and benches are positioned around the pad. The facility is pram-accessible and sits adjacent to a playground within the wider park. Warm-weather weekends draw large crowds.
