1 / 2Woodland Play Cafe
📍 East Nashville, TN
Indoor play space paired with a full café on Woodland Street. Open play sessions for toddlers and young children run alongside weekly music class, Tippi Toes dance sessions, and caregiver art classes.
Awesome café with a great, unique concept: a safe and friendly place where your kids can play while you enjoy good coffee. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for caregivers with children aged 1–5 who want structured play alongside quality coffee. The small, cosy format works well for one-on-one parent-child visits rather than large group drop-ins. Families with non-mobile infants should know the play floor is shared with running toddlers.

“This place is absolutely adorable and the owners are the sweetest people ever. The drinks are also to die for. My boyfriend and I are from New Orleans. I am under 21 so we were having a really tough time finding activities that we could do together and overall we’re not enjoying our trip. We had wondered into this cafe after going on a morning walk trying to decide what we wanted to do for the day. We realized that this cafe was also an indoor playground. We talked with the owners about how we were having a hard time enjoying the city. They talked with us for nearly an hour about things we can do and even wrote us a list. Honestly these people are the reason we are considering coming back the Nashville ❤️ I highly recommend to stop bye even if you don’t have kids. We have niece and nephew who’s parents love Nashville so we will definitely be telling them to visit this spot on their next trip.”

“Woodland Play Cafe is such a great place for parents and toddlers! I have been here a few times with my son for Open Play, which has always been fun for both of us - he gets to run/play while I drink a coffee. We recently had my son's 3rd birthday party here and it was better than I had imagined! Raimee and Brittney were so flexible and communicative during the booking/planning process which made everything so smooth. Raimee was there during the party and was absolutely amazing! I was able to socialize with the parents and also spend time with my son on his special day while she made sure all the logistics were taken care of! If you are looking to host a birthday party and would like a little less stress during the process, I HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Woodland Play Cafe!”

“Safe, clean, and friendly play environment. Café option offers an additional bonus for adults and children. We were visiting from out-of-state and came across this enjoyable play option for our grandchildren when it's too chilly outside.”
