Great place for family
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids of all ages who can handle extended outdoor walking β the 4-mile path is significant in South Florida heat, so early morning arrival is essential. Summer camp enrollment suits school-age kids aged 6 and up. Strollers and wagons are strongly recommended for children under 5 given the distances between exhibits.

βLove Zoo Miami so much to do. I've been coming since I was a child. My only complaint is that the Family Amphitheatre at the show I went to didn't have a mic so I couldn't really hear what the speaker was sayingβ

βThe zoo used to be one of my favorite places to visit. I hadnβt been there in a few years, so when I finally returned, I was shocked by what I saw. One of my favorite experiences used to be the back-and-forth calls of the gibbons on the island, but theyβre gone. The island, once vibrant and full of life, is now eerily quiet and feels like an eyesore. The gorillas are gone, the few animals I did see were pacing or rocking back and forth, and many exhibits were empty or closed. Even the few employees I encountered looked miserable. I had been hearing from others that the zoo wasnβt what it used to be. They warned me not to go, but I had to see for myself, and they were right. I wonβt be bringing out-of-town visitors like I used to, and Iβll be honest with anyone who asks. Prices keep going up while the experience keeps going down. What happened?β
