Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum at 220 E Ann St spans multiple floors of interactive science exhibits, a dedicated Preschool Gallery with water tables and a child-sized fire engine, and a large enclosed playroom.
Great interactive museum!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children from toddler age through early middle school. The Preschool Gallery gives parents of very young children a dedicated, age-appropriate zone. Stroller parking space inside is sparseβconsider leaving large strollers in the car and using a carrier for infants.

βSo much fun for families. Park on nearby streets or structures and bring your stroller if needed ( there's limited stroller parking and a large coat rack area just inside.) multiple floors with tons of cool exhibits for bigger & little kids. An awesome playroom with separate doors that is very large and has infant- and younger-kids friendly areas. So much fun for a day if you live close by, or even an hour away it's easy enough to drive in. Never especially busy. Grab lunch at one of the many amazing eatery options all over Ann Arbor while you're in town or drive by Gallup Park, Argo Pond, anything and make a fun day out going here and then seeing something else in the AΒ²β

Overview
Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum occupies a multi-story building in downtown Ann Arbor, with exhibits calibrated from preschoolers through older kids. The Preschool Gallery is purpose-built for the youngest visitorsβwater tables, dress-up, and a child-sized fire engine keep toddlers engaged without overwhelming them. Older children gravitate to the Legacy Gallery, where they can experiment with simple machines, explore how the internet works, and enclose themselves in an oversized soap bubble.
