Clean outdoor swimming pool with warm water and family changing rooms. Best suited for confident swimmers due to 4-foot depth throughout and strict rule enforcement.

Very clean water. It is a 4 feet 0 inches tall pool. The water is warm and you can come in with the stroller by buzzing the side door and leave the stroller inside. There are family changing rooms and many lockers and showers. Even though the pool is next the fdr you don’t hear it that much. I think I felt the pollution. But I had a good time with my kids. Respect the NYC pool rules - Show your lockers key, wear rubber shoes, wear swimming suit and wear no hat no electronics and everything should smooth . No floaties is hard for me. My 6 years old can only stand on tippy toes and I have the hold the other one. The lifeguards yeld at me for having my kids on the pool ladder. Even is there was no one else there. The people in the pool were nice and some women helped me out by holding one kid. Definitely challenging with no kiddie pool and 2 kids but very cool experience. Kids loved it.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best suited for families with confident swimmers aged 6+ who can handle 4-foot deep water. The facility itself is clean with good amenities, but be prepared for strict enforcement of rules and potentially unhelpful staff interactions. Not recommended for families with very young children due to depth and no kiddie pool.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Bring your own padlock for lockers and be prepared to show it at entry
⏰Wear proper swim attire and rubber shoes - no electronics, hats, or floaties allowed
🎟️Call ahead to confirm pool is actually open as closures happen unexpectedly
πŸš—Use side door entrance if bringing stroller, though staff attitudes toward strollers vary

β€œYesterday around 5:00pm I took my granddaughter to the aser levy pool. It is not our first year there, last year we enjoyed the pool a couple of times. Yesterday after changing, I walked with my granddaughter in my arms down the stairs in the pool area. I missed a step and fell with my granddaughter hitting her head, after I fell. Immediately 2 life guards showed up, all the staff came to help me. Put a bandage on my wound. A nice supervisor, and a police woman helped me, and cared for my granddaughter, and me. Special thanks to Nathan the life guard who helped me, and was so calmed. Hope to see you soon.”

β€œA decent, if crowded, outdoor pool - if you can actually make it inside. I’ve been turned away multiple times, either because the pool is unexpectedly closed (contrary to advertised hours) or because I had a watch (no β€œelectronics” allowed apparently). Some staff seem to go out of their way to find problems. Locker rooms are a bit grimy but functional. You need to bring your own padlock, and you will be asked to demonstrate that you have a padlock for a locker upon entry - another bizarre rule.”

β€œI wish I can give 0 stars because before hand I called and asked if my kids were able to go to the inside pool the lady on the phone said yes they just have to be a member to the club, I said okay it was no problem I’ll send them to sign up. When I got there one of my kid friends recorded the whole thing and they were talking to them rudely telling them they couldn’t go in because it was β€œclosed” whole time on the phone the lady said it was okay for them to go and get in the pool etc etc. my kids heard everything what was said on the phone by the lady and by the video the lady looked confused as she wasn’t who answered the phone. PLEASE do your job right and let the old people retire the lady looked around 70 telling me misinformation having my kids traveling just to tell them no in their faces and in the video the man kept changing the subject. If you didn’t allow them getting in the pool all you had to say was im sorry you guys can’t get in instead of being disrespectful. Please do your jobs right make sure an actual worker answers the phone and explain everything now I look at the website it said β€œtemporary closed” because my older daughter told the man that I called and even she called and the lady said it was okay to get in the pool and now it’s closed for everyone. 0/10 service very disappointed please please do your job right stop sitting there like slugs being rude to teenagers pushing 60+.”
