Big kid Playground
π Back Bay West, MA
Fully fenced playground on the Charles River with a zip line, multiple spinning structures, slides, swings, and a large xylophone. Shaded benches face the river. No-dog policy inside the fence.
Cute fenced in playground right on the river. Plenty of shade. Fun benches around trees. Slides, swings, large xylophone. My boys especially loved all the spinning equipment and the zip line. Large space. We went mid Saturday afternoon and there hardly anyone there. Thereβs also a small courtyard between the big kid playground and the little kid playground.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids roughly ages 4β12 who want more than basic playground equipment. The zip line and spinning structures are the standout draws. The fully fenced perimeter and no-dog policy make it especially comfortable for parents of young children and those with allergies or asthma.

βA beautiful area for the kids to play. Fenced in. There are benches for adults to sit and relax while the kids play. Watch the river go by. It's relaxing. I thought that dogs weren't allowed inside the fenced in playground. I love dogs, but it's nice when my kid has asthma and I don't have to worry about triggers. But someone brought two big dogs in. So, maybe I was wrong about that.β

Overview
Big Kid Playground sits along the Charles River in Boston, fully fenced with a single entry point. The equipment lineup goes beyond standard β a zip line, multiple spinning structures, and a large outdoor xylophone alongside slides and swings. Benches around trees give adults a shaded spot to watch as kids play. The river view adds a calm backdrop. The no-dog policy inside the fence is enforced, which reviewers with children appreciate. Midweek visits see light crowds even on warm afternoons.
