1 / 2Central park playground
π Pasadena, CA
Well-maintained playground in Central Park, downtown Pasadena, with a bouncy rubberized surface, separate sections for toddlers and older kids, shaded areas, and walking paths. Accessible by metro and street parking.
Central Park Playground is a great spot for kids to burn energy. The play area is clean, safe, and has a good variety of equipment for different ages. Thereβs plenty of space to run, climb, and explore. The park itself is peaceful, with nice walking areas and places for parents to sit and relax while watching the kids. A good place for a family break outdoors.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of all ages who want a well-equipped, centrally located playground near Old Pasadena. The bouncy surface and shaded zones make it a comfortable option for younger children. Families with multiple small children should of the open urban setting and busy street proximity.

βThe playground itself is great. Itβs new, it has bouncy ground, and areas for toddlers and older kids. Itβs shaded and paid street parking is typically available or itβs easy to get to from the metro. Sometimes youβll have a fire truck sighting at the station across the street. But I really wish it was gated in. Itβs right next to a very busy street. Which makes wrangling more than one little one highly nerve wrecking. Iβve never experienced any issues with unhoused people hanging in or around the playground itself, but have seen other reviews saying it was issue for them. Gating the area might help parents feel more comfortable with that aspect of the park as well.β
