1 / 3Pasadena Ice Skating Center
π Pasadena, CA
A year-round indoor ice rink in Pasadena offering public skating, learn-to-skate group classes for all ages, Little Kings hockey programs, synchronized skating teams, birthday party packages, and skating camps.
Well maintained rink with clean facilities and good ice quality. Staff are organized and helpful, especially during public sessions and lessons. Rental skates are in decent condition, and the check in process is efficient. Good balance of family friendly atmosphere and serious skating time. A solid option for casual skating and training in the Pasadena area.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families comfortable with a busy rink environment or those targeting weekday and evening sessions when figure skating lessons are not running. Public sessions on weekends can be significantly congested β figure skating classes claim centre ice, compressing general skaters into the remaining space.

βGreat ice rink with tons of classes and clubs. Itβs real busy on the weekends, especially after the classes get out, but hours are flexible enough that you can go weekdays and evenings for a less crowded experience. I took adult skating classes there and hope to take adult hockey classes, but havenβt been able to because theyβre only offered one night a week on a weekday. PLEASE offer adult hockey on the weekend!!!β

βThe area originally designated for students to sit and change their shoes was being occupied by several adults who were standing there for extended periods to watch their children. Despite a clearly marked viewing area being available, they chose to stand in the students' area. This behavior is unfair to other children and parents, and also poses safety and order issues. Even more concerning is the lack of intervention or management from staff. While the ice rink staff were consistently friendly, they seemed to be passively allowing this blatant disregard for the rules. We hope that management will strengthen on-site order maintenance, clearly define the purpose of each area, and truly protect the basic rights and experience of the students.β

βVery disappointed with the kidsβ ice skating class in Pasadena. Some classes during session were little better (but never really good), some worse. Todayβs class was just ridiculous. The class is only 30 minutes long, yet for almost 10 minutes the kids were just standing on the ice doing nothing. The group was extremely overcrowded β it literally looked like a soup of kids on ice. There was no space to skate freely and no safe distance between children, which is unsafe, especially for beginners. The trainer (Jill / Jillian) seemed completely oblivious to what was going on and did not attempt to organize the group or improve safety. For the price paid, this was a complete waste of time and money. I do not recommend this program for kids. There are much better, safer options elsewhere.β

Overview
Pasadena Ice Skating Center runs public skating sessions alongside structured programs: group learn-to-skate classes for all ages, the Little Kings Learn-to-Play hockey program, synchronized skating teams, and seasonal camps and competitions. Figure skating lessons occupy the centre ice during some public sessions, reducing usable space. Rental skates are available with an efficient check-in process. Birthday party packages include private rooms.
