1 / 3Children's Zoo
๐ The Bronx, NY
Interactive section of the Bronx Zoo where kids crawl through groundhog tunnels, scale giant spider webs, and hand-feed farm animals including alpacas. Pram-friendly with cafe access across the broader zoo complex.
Animals and climbing areas . You can crawl through tunnels and see ground hogs, climb a giant spider web, and see how your jumรณ compares to different animals. At the end there is a petting zoo where you can feed farm animals. A great place to visit !
๐ Family Action Verdict
Strong destination for families with children aged 1 through 10 โ the interactive format keeps young kids physically engaged throughout rather than just watching through glass. The petting zoo finale with alpacas is a consistent highlight. Arrive early on weekends to get ahead of the crowds.

โGreat variety of animals, it's not just a petting zoo. It also has quite a few exhibits and must sees like the prairie dogs and fennec foxes! It ends with a petting zoo with the usual farm animals plus super fluffy alpacas!โ

โBronx zoo is my favorite zoo in the city. It's better to go on 2 days so you can actually enjoy everything. Only con is that it's always crowded. We all had fun from the 1yr old to the 26yr old lolโ
