1 / 2Cinemark Century North Hollywood and XD
π North Hollywood, CA
Stadium-seating multiplex featuring XD premium large-format screens and extensive free parking. Known for a quieter atmosphere than comparable LA locations. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.
My partner convinced me to go here because of nearby parking - close to the theatre. I was rainy - his shoes got wet as even 10 steps were flooded. Even though the friendly girl was handling paper towels to wipe off the water. 12$ ticket vs 14$ Regal and 20$ AMS, reclining seats. The screen is a bit too much up (row E), for your neck, pick further back seats. Big theatre, clean toilets. Even a retro design as itβs faire. Hope theyβll pick better quality movies to show in the future. βArgylleβ is cute but below 6 rating on IMDB, βBeekeeperβ waste of time, watch out β¦
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children old enough to sit through a full film without disruption. The quiet atmosphere and spacious parking make logistics straightforward. Families with young toddlers who need freedom to move will find standard cinema rules apply here the same as anywhere β this is a conventional movie theater experience.

βI went a week ago and I really liked the movie theater because it's very quiet and there's plenty of parking. If you want to go with your kids and not worry about them running around, this is the perfect place. I recommend it; the prices are affordable, both for tickets and concessions.β

βThere is few services that were different than other cinemarks around the area. Like they offer pick up services instead of bringing to the sit. Because of this our product was taken and they had to re-do. They nicely did it and quick. But looks like they experience that a lot as we were leaving another guest had the same experience of somebody else getting her order. The sits do not come with warming feature. Still next time I want to check the XD feature in this location. The team was nice polite and fun.β

βNever coming back. Iβm going to the cinema in Sherman Oaks, going forward. They hire rude people. Last month I came here with a friend who had knee surgery. There was nowhere to sit so we went and sat in the theatre while they were cleaning. The guy asked us to leave in a rude way βcanβt you see Iβm cleaningβ and after I explained that knee surgery made standing uncomfortable he said βI donβt careβ. I decided to give this theater another chance so I went today. The kid behind the ticket counter called me over to scan my ticket. I approached and then in a rude tone he told me to get behind the guy who was standing there (it wasnβt clear that this man was being helped). I told him that I didnβt know he was helping that guy and the kid flipped out. Heβs clearly not stable. I said something to management and that lady didnβt seem to care. This place is run like a joke. Iβm done.β

Cinemark Century North Hollywood runs XD premium large-format screens with stadium seating across multiple auditoriums. Free parking in quantity sets it apart from most LA-area cinemas. Reviewers consistently note a quieter, less chaotic crowd compared to nearby multiplexes. Concession service operates pickup-counter style rather than seat delivery.
