I can't believe I spent my whole life living in Queens and I didn't even know that this theater was an independent cinema. A historical site too as its 100 years old. We went to go see Zootopia 2 today, and I loved the experience. Being small, the concession stand is right as you walk in, my favorite part is the pricing. I have not seen popcorn that cheap in years! Drinks and candy as well. They have single bathrooms which is always a plus. And five theater rooms all close together, a very cozy feeling that this place gives you. The theater room themselves are very small too, and the seats are reclinable and set in pairs which makes this place perfect for dates. The staff was very nice and overall you can feel the family oriented energy this place gives. I'll be trying my best to support this theater, it'll be a large shame to see it die.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families who want a laid-back, character-filled movie outing without chain-theater prices. Recliners seat in pairs — bring the whole row. Toddlers welcome at matinees. Arrive early on weekends; the small auditoriums fill fast for new releases.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

This place is refreshing. More affordable than mainstream cinemas, clean bathrooms, reasonable concessions pricing, and the chairs are super cozy. I think it’s definitely worth it to go somewhere with character like this! Also, for the seat reviews I keep seeing - if we rally and support small places like this, they could keep up with the cost to maintain. I’m sure it’s hard to compete with huge corporations so I definitely suggest supporting this place despite any minor things I’m sure they’re working on!

I have nothing bad to say about this theater. It is an old theater, but it is well-maintained and clean. I was very happy to see the seats are literally oversized recliners. The seats were very comfortable. If the movie is not enjoyable, it would be easy to fall asleep. I came to a 1:00 PM Sunday showing, and at $4.00 a ticket, it is quite a bargain.

i love this place so much. this is my go to theater spot for my brother and i. i love how tiny and affordable it is, its soo clean here, and the bathrooms are soo nice. staff is cool, had one bad interaction, but i just blame it on teen hormones lol. i’ll forever come here just for the old school vibes and affordability
