Farmingdale Aquatic Center
đ Farmingdale, NY
School district aquatic center offering free swimming to Farmingdale residents with both lap and recreational swimming available weekday mornings.
Overall, the facility is nice. The main thing missing is benches for spectators.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking swimming lessons in a quality facility, though comfort issues may detract from the experience. Particularly suitable for kids' lessons, but parents should prepare for potential temperature discomfort in winter months. The venue works well for active swimming but less ideal for extended spectating.

âThe facility is nice and it's a great option for swimming lessons for your kids, but the locker rooms in the small pool area are always so cold. There's no need to have the air conditioning on in the winter. My kids are literally shivering after their lessons and truthfully, it makes this so unenjoyable as a parent to see my kid so cold and uncomfortable.â
