Fort Totten Playground
📍 Queens, NY
Small, clean playground at Fort Totten surrounded by water on three sides. Features mulch surfaces, monkey bars, and challenging obstacles for school-age kids. Walk-in entry available; vehicle access requires FDNY ID.
We continue to man the ramparts and pledge our faith that cooler heads will prevail. We are ready to defend the fort at all costs. Stay strong.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for school-age kids who want challenging equipment and a scenic, uncrowded setting. The waterfront location adds a unique atmosphere you won't find at standard NYC parks. Families with toddlers who need swings or softer equipment should look elsewhere — this playground is built for bigger kids.

“Very small, cozy, and clean park for young ones to enjoy. You need an FDNY ID to enter and park inside. Otherwise you can still enter by walking through the gates.”

“This small but nice playground is located in queens. There aren’t swings here. This place is essentially located on an island. It is surrounded from three sides by water. It has amazing paths and views here.”

“The playground is very fun and challenging. The park is basically full of government buildings but it is right on the water and has the playground, soccer field and pool.”
