1 / 3Commonpoint Queens Bay Terrace Pool and Athletic Complex
📍 Queens, NY
Seasonal pool club in Bayside with diving pools, kiddie areas, tennis and basketball courts, plus swim lessons. Parents praise the accommodating staff and clean facilities.
I cannot say enough nice things about this pool club! It has been my families happy place for the past 2 summers. It's very clean and the staff are extremely professional and friendly. An extra thanks to the swim lessons department, they have been so accommodating. We are moving in a week and had to cancel swim lessons last minute and the staff offered to let us make it up because she didn't want the kids to miss out on their last lesson. I don't know anywhere else that has been so accommodating! Thank you commonpoint!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families seeking swim lessons and pool activities where the staff excels at accommodation and facility cleanliness. Avoid for competitive sports rentals due to inconsistent policies, high costs, and poor court conditions that have frustrated multiple visitors.

“Review for Tennis: Visited in the winter dome (indoor). Single tennis court with a soccer turf right next to it. Can and will get noisy if soccer is booked. Price - 5/5. Arrordable cost with online booking option. Staff - 5/5. Allowed extra time because courts were free. Very friendly staff and super helpful. Court: 1.5/5. The court has fluff and dust all over. I spent 10 minutes cleaning it. The courts have very uneven bounce and a lot of dead spots. The courts have pickleball lines painted over it. Would recommend for a casual practice, but avoid it for competitive or league matches. Facility: 4/5. Clean washroom and shower. Has a vending machine. Decent weather seal inside the dome. Open until late as well.”

“Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience We booked a turf rental for one hour last Tuesday from 7:00–8:00 PM and paid $530, which is already extremely expensive. A few of us arrived about 30 minutes early just to change clothes and stretch. Despite the field being completely empty, we were not allowed to enter even one minute early. When we politely asked, the manager, Valentina, was very rude and insisted we wait outside. In the past, this facility has always allowed at least 10–15 minutes early entry, so this made no sense. There is no locker room, and the lobby is tiny with hardly any seating. Because of this, we didn’t actually start playing until around 7:15–7:20 PM, which means we lost a large portion of our paid time — even though the field was sitting unused. What made it worse is that the next team was allowed to enter about 15 minutes early. When we asked about this inconsistency, staff completely ignored us. This felt extremely unfair and frankly discriminatory. It is hard not to feel that we were treated differently. To add insult to injury, right after our booking they reduced the price from $530 to $400, but refused to match the new rate. For this price, customers deserve basic courtesy, consistent policies, and a proper place to change. We will not be returning and do not recommend this place.”

“They are very unfair, unprofessional. Very disappointing. We had booked soccer field for an hour( from 7-8 pm), they didn’t allow us to go to the field before 1 minute while the other team allowed before 7 minutes of their booked time.”
