1 / 3Garfield Park
π South Pasadena, CA
Well-maintained South Pasadena neighbourhood park with playground equipment, shaded walking paths under mature trees, picnic pavilion with barbecues, tennis courts, dog-friendly facilities, and a free little library. Free entry.
Garfield Park is located in south Pasadena. It's a great park where couples and families gather to stroll beneath the shade of ancient trees. Although this isnβt a large park, itβs dog friendly and designed to be used by those in need of a place to enjoy the day. The park features well-maintained pathways, a children's playground, and spacious grassy areas for picnics and public events. In addition, there's a charming gazebo often used for small community activities and gatherings. I attended the free summer festival Shakespeare by the Sea at Garfield Park. This wasnβt just a wonderful way to spend my Sunday evening but a fantastic admission free theatrical event. And a great opportunity to see and experience Shakespeare. The park's walking paths are an invitation for visitors to enjoy the surroundings in a safe and clean place. This is a nice park thatβs well landscaped with a wonderful play area for young families of all ages. I like kidsβ¦ so I think the sounds of children playing add to the peaceful atmosphere.
π Family Action Verdict
The dependable choice for South Pasadena families with young children who want a clean, safe park for regular visits without driving far. The shade density and playground proximity to restrooms and picnic facilities make afternoon outings genuinely comfortable.

βWonderful neighborhood park that is always clean, safe, and well kept. There are always families with young children running around after school or on the weekends. Itβs also a great place to walk or play with your dog since they have many trash bins all over the park and doggy poop bags. Thereβs a freelibrary at the entrance of the park and tennis courts on the opposite end. There are bathrooms that are cleaned regularly and plenty of water fountains around the park. Honestly, such a lovely park.β

βWonderful park that has many activities for both kids and adults. Lots of trees that provide shade during those hot days. Well kept bathrooms near the kids playground. Pavilion area next to the kids playground has plenty of tables and also a two barbecues along with a water fountain and water bottle fill station. Plenty of benches along the wall path and tennis courts on the North end of the park. Quite a few grassy open spaces.β

βGreat park with an interesting walking path and poop bag dispensers for your dog. One thing to note, the playground is closed for maintenance Monday and Friday from 7am to 9am.β
