Harold A Henry Park
📍 Central LA, CA
Central LA neighborhood park with one of the few remaining sand-surface playgrounds in the city, shaded seating, a dog-friendly environment, and a relaxed afternoon social scene.
When I arrived here it seemed eerily familiar. Then I realized that this park is the first pickup location of Uber eats in 2014. Before it got so popular. We would come here and pick up a cooler that had ice cream, Sodas and sandwiches and hope someone would order! They would even give us driver's anything remaining.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children who love sandbox-style play in a clean, low-key setting. The sand playground keeps toddlers engaged for extended periods. The late-afternoon gathering of families and small dogs creates a social atmosphere that regulars return to repeatedly.

“Nice place to be at. Kid friendly, nice scenery, and it's somewhat clean. The best thing I'd have to say is here, is the view of this tree in a tree.”
