1 / 3Lanark Pool
đ Canoga Park, CA
City-run outdoor pool offering swim lessons, open swim sessions, and affordable family entry. Popular for quality instruction and clean facilities, though hours can vary unexpectedly.
Awesome. I have both my girls signed up for the 2 week learn to swim class. They had the girls swim with an instructor to see what their skill level was and then they put them in the appropriate class. They have scholarships available and even once those spots are taken up, I think the classes are maybe 20$. For regular swimming, its $1 for kids & $3.50 for adults. There are multiple lifeguards, which is good. Additionally, they have showers that you have to wash off in prior to getting into the pool. You can leave you things with a worker who gives you a net bag that they put up for you, then when you're ready to go, you just hand in your little key/pin and you get your stuff. The place is super clean and the pool is not crazy, over chlorinated. My girls eyes are very sensitive and they've been swimming every day and we haven't had any problems with their eyes hurting or being red. I would highly reccomend this pool to anyone looking to take their kids for lessons or just on the days when you want to get your kids out and having fun swimming with a diverse bunch of people. Also, I haven't seen it be so over crowded that it would be nerve wracking.
đ Family Action Verdict
Perfect for families seeking affordable swimming and quality lessons in a clean, well-staffed environment. Great for all ages with excellent value at just $1 for kids and $3.50 for adults. However, call ahead to confirm hours as there may be unexpected closures not reflected online.

âSwam at Lanark park when I was 7. I remember the high dive made out of cement what happened to it? When do you close for winter and open again for summer? What is the cost for a person with a disability to swim? Love the pool!â
