📍 Manhattan, NY
Lily Brown Playground at 915 Riverside Dr in Manhattan is currently undergoing renovation. Access can be intermittent — confirm current status before visiting.
When will the park open again?
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for local families who can check access conditions before heading out. The renovation signals upgraded equipment ahead, and current closures make it unreliable for a planned outing. Families traveling specifically for this playground should confirm it is open before going.

“Newly renovated but not yet completed playground.”

“I wanted to share an update for anyone planning to visit Lily Playground. We went today at 11:28 a.m. and found it closed, even though the website listed it as open. There were signs posted at the entrance saying the park was closed. A male worker initially told us it would reopen in about 20 minutes. However, shortly after, a supervisor arrived and explained that the closure was due to tree maintenance and that she didn’t know when the park would reopen. To make things more confusing, I called 311 and the representative also wasn’t aware of the closure and couldn’t provide any additional information. Overall, it was frustrating that there was no clear or consistent communication about the closure. If you’re planning a visit, you may want to double-check or have a backup plan just in case.”
