Long Island Game Farm Wildlife Park
π Manorville, NY
Long Island's largest children's zoo featuring interactive animal encounters, especially popular capybara experiences, goat feeding, and deer interactions. Perfect for families wanting hands-on wildlife education.
We had such a great time at the Long Island Game Farm! Went with some friends and it turned into a really memorable day for all of us. One of the best parts was getting to feed the deer and goats, such a special experience for the kids. The goats were especially playful and full of personality! My preschooler was honestly terrified at first, but by the end, he warmed up so much and surprised us all with how brave he became. They also had a super fun dog show that the kids absolutely loved, and it was clear the animals were all well cared for. Thereβs a cute little playground with a train that added even more fun, and the whole atmosphere felt safe, relaxed, and perfect for families. Itβs such a great way to spend time outdoors and teach kids how to interact with animals in a respectful, gentle way. Weβll definitely be back, itβs one of those places thatβs as educational as it is fun.
π Family Action Verdict
Perfect for families wanting interactive animal experiences, especially the popular capybara encounters and goat feeding. Suitable for all ages from preschoolers to adults, though timid children may need encouragement initially. Great educational value combined with fun, though sensitive families should know some larger animals are caged.

βIt was such a fun visit! The farm is quite large and full of different animals, many of them you can pet and feed with special food. I did the Capybara Experience, and it was absolutely adorable! The capybaras are so cute, and we learned so many interesting facts about them. They truly steal your heart. My other favorites were the little goats, theyβre so sweet, and you can even feed them milk. All the animals looked healthy and well cared for, and itβs clear that the staff really love them and take great care of them. We also heard a touching story about the foxes, which was super interesting. Definitely recommend visiting if you want a warm, hands-on animal experience! π¦ππΎπ€β

βI had the best time at Long Island Game Farm. I came here because I'm so excited to see the capybaras. I was able to see 2 capybaras just chilling and sleeping. I wasn't able to book the tickets to feed capybaras since it's fully booked. This zoo is not very big but they do have so many cool animals. My bf drove us all the way down and we had a blast exploring together. We also stopped by the cute zoo shop with different souvenirs. I definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area or just looking for a fun day out with your family or friends. I also heard they recently have new capybara babies.β

βTook my kid here for a capybara experience. It was quick but we had so much fun learning about the capybaras and seeing them close up. We came in winter so we can't wait to go back in the spring and see all the other animals they have! Will be doing the capybara experience again too. Great for all agesβ
