1 / 3Los Angeles Police Museum
đ Highland Park, CA
Historic police museum in a century-old Highland Park station featuring LAPD artifacts, exhibits on famous cases, and displays including vintage vehicles and equipment.
I wanted to share my experience from my first visit to the Los Angeles Police Museum, formerly the Highland Park Police Department. It was an awesome experience! I really enjoyed checking out the historical police events you have on display. Seeing the history laid out like that was really cool. I'm already planning a return trip and hope to see even more exhibits in the future! I've already recommended a few friends to come check it out! Thank you for the wonderful time and great customer service from your staff. I'm giving this museum a 5-star rating! No complaint
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with older children who enjoy history and police stories, particularly those interested in Los Angeles heritage. The museum offers an authentic experience in a century-old police station building with engaging displays, though some exhibits may need updating.

âSo informative and great if you love history and love police departments globally. Staff there are so kind and helpful. Make sure you call and contact them as I saw that there could be a possibility for them to be closed for filming. I called to ensure they were going to be open 2 days before my visit and they ensured that they would be there. A massive thank you to the staff there! I will be back to see you all in my next visit to LA. I had the pleasure of meeting Erica. Thank you all so much!â

âMy first time coming here and loved all the history of the building and inside it! We took the tour and were not disappointed. A walk through the last 2 centuries, with photos, displays and props. I recommend anyone wishing to learn about LAPD history and just the history of Los Angeles to go check this place out!â

âIncredible to have the in-depth overview of the history of the museum. You need to see Shirly the switchboard and Petunia the rescue vehicle. A great afternoon outing in an historical building over 100 years old. Staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. Definitely a must see when you're in LA.â
