1 / 2Maryland Science Center
📍 Inner Harbor, MD
Maryland Science Center on Baltimore's Inner Harbor spans three floors of interactive exhibits, a planetarium, a science demo stage, a hands-on lab for older kids, and an outdoor playground. Plan for 2–3 hours minimum.
Great for field trips, everyone had fun!
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children ages 3–12, with the hands-on lab most engaging for ages 7 and up. Younger kids gravitate to the splash and building stations on the lower floors. Budget at least two hours — three is more realistic for thorough exploration. The Inner Harbor location means parking costs should be factored in.

“We spent about three hours at the museum. Lots of activities for a wide range of ages. For older kids, don't miss the lab where they can do hands on experiments.”

“I'd return again with my kids (2&5). You can spend 3 hours here, we spent a hurried 2 hours before closing. Pros: There's so many cool things inside to learn and touch with your kids. There's some things adults might forget about their kids to enjoy lol Cons: They close early and slightly expensive $80+ for 3,one kid under 3 is free. Parking is limited.”
