1 / 3Newport Green Park
π Jersey City, NY
Peaceful urban park on the Hudson waterfront featuring a soft sand beach area, splash pad, playground, carousel, and rose garden. PATH train accessible between Hoboken and Newport stations. Best visited in warm weather.
π A Hidden Gem in Jersey City! π I absolutely love this little beach at Newport Green Park, itβs one of those rare peaceful spots that makes you forget youβre in the middle of the city. The soft sand, colorful chairs, and the view of the Manhattan skyline across the Hudson make it feel like a mini escape without leaving town. Itβs perfect for relaxing with a book, watching the sunset, or just dipping your toes in the sand while the breeze hits your face. The park is super family-friendly, with a spacious and safe playground, a splash pad for hot days, and even a carousel that kids absolutely love! Itβs the kind of place where you can just come and let your little ones play freely. Itβs also perfectly accessible, with smooth paths and ramps for strollers and wheelchairs. And getting here is super easy, the park is located right between the Hoboken and Newport PATH stations. Youβre also surrounded by great coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarkets, which makes it a perfect spot to grab a snack or plan a spontaneous picnic by the water. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and it always feels safe. Whether youβre a local or just visiting Jersey City, this peaceful urban beach is a must. Itβs such a vibe, especially on warm days. π
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with young children on warm-weather weekdays when the park is calm and the splash pad is running. The combination of beach feel, playground, and skyline backdrop makes for a memorable outing without leaving New Jersey. Sunset timing rewards families who can stay into the early evening β the Manhattan views peak at golden hour.

βMy daughter told that there is the most beautiful place on the sunset - is Newport Green Park. The rose garden - it like hidden germ, magic garden in the City. For me this park is the place, where you always can relax for a couple of monents to calm overwhelmed mindβ

Overview
Newport Green Park delivers a rare combination: soft sand, colorful chairs, a splash pad, playground equipment, a carousel, and a rose garden β all with unobstructed Manhattan skyline views across the Hudson. The paths are smooth and stroller-friendly. PATH trains stop between Hoboken and Newport stations for car-free access. Winter visits are possible and the waterfront exposure makes extended stays uncomfortable in cold weather.
