Renovated splash pad with spinning fountains, rubber-floored playground, sports fields, and an on-site library — all free. Popular on hot days; benches near water features can get soaked by the fountains.

The splash pad is great after the recent renovation — kids love it! The only downsides are that some benches are too close to the water features, so when kids spin the fountains, people and belongings can get soaked. There’s also very little shade in the splash area, and the ground on the regular playground gets extremely hot for bare feet. But overall, it’s a fun and pleasant park!

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with kids of any age on hot days — the splash pad is the main draw and it's free. Families with toddlers should note the lack of shade and bring their own. Those with older kids get full-day value from the sports fields and library. Park near the baseball diamond for the easiest walk to the water features.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Check the seasonal splash pad schedule before visiting — it doesn't run year-round
Bring a shade canopy or umbrella as natural shade in the splash area is minimal
🎟️Move belongings away from fountain zones — spinning jets can soak benches several feet away
🚗Wear water shoes; playground surfaces get very hot on summer afternoons

Great FREE way to keep the kids cool in these extreme temperatures. The splash pad is loads of fun for all ages (I got hot and ran through myself). It is right nest door to the playground (divided into two parts) and the floor is rubber so you don't have to worry about the kids getting all muddy. Ample free parking by the baseball field makes a short walk to fun!

Love this place! There's a pool for the summertime, soccer fields, baseball fields, a park, basketball courts, a water park for the kids that's on in the summer, and a library. They also have people who sell ice creams and chips walking around in carts. Very convenient.

Love that it's gated! Splash pad is a must, check dates and times though

Overview

Pacific Community Center & Park features a recently renovated splash pad with spinning fountains, two playground sections with rubber flooring, soccer and baseball fields, basketball courts, and a branch library. The rubber playground surface stays cleaner than sand and is pram-accessible. Shade is sparse in the splash area, and surfaces heat up significantly on summer afternoons. Free parking is plentiful near the baseball field.
