1 / 3Crystal Springs Picnic Area
π Griffith Park, CA
Crystal Springs Picnic Area spans a large natural space in Griffith Park with barbecue pits, picnic tables, a baseball diamond, volleyball courts, and a children's play area. Primarily used for organised events and seasonal attractions.
Looks like a super great park huge. We went for the LA haunted hayride had a Ton of fun, parking was way away from the venue or event, but there was A shuttle to get you there still a bit of a walk, very uneven, so be careful if you go out there, Couple of food Trucks answer coffee and lemonade stands and some mazes and the Haunted hayride, little disappointed thatThere was no beer for sale but I get it.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families attending organised events, fundraisers, or seasonal attractions held on the grounds. The open space suits picnics and casual sport, and the variety of facilities can fill a full day. Wear sturdy footwear β most of the terrain is unpaved dirt with uneven patches and gopher holes throughout.

βLoved this park! We were there for a National Brain Tumor Society 5K fundraiser and it was a beautiful day. Clean park, lots of tables, people setting up for Autism Awareness Day event, birthday parties, a wedding, and lots of runners and walkers of all ages on the trails. Itβs nice to get out of the concrete jungle and into nature!β

βThe hayride was fancier but it was or appeared to be shorter. Many people on the ride felt the same. Seems like they had more characters before. I recall getting off ride and there being a graveyard with spooks and seemed more interactions. All in all a good time was had. It was my friends first time and she loved it. We just both went away saying they could have done a little more. The haybale couches and chairs were a nice addition.β
