Playa Vista Sports Park - Playground
📍 Playa Vista, CA
Seven-acre Playa Vista sports park with a gated rubber-surface playground for young children, plus soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball half-courts, shaded areas, and ample parking. Security patrols regularly.
Sports Park at Playa Vista is a really nice park area in the community. They have a really good-sized playground for younger kids, a soccer field, baseball field, tennis courts, and a basketball court. There is even a hiking trail in the back which leads to a couple other parks. What's nice is that this area is maintained well. The only downside is that it is a really good park in a nice area, so sometimes there are a lot of people there (but that is to be expected). If you have never been here, I definitely recommend checking it out, as well as the other parks throughout this community.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and preschoolers who also want sports and recreation options beyond the playground. The gated enclosure and rubber surface make it one of the safer setups in the area for very young children. Active families with kids of varying ages can split across the playground and sports fields simultaneously.

“This is the best park in the area in terms of size and equipment available. The parents are all very attentive of their kids. Tons of shaded area. Parking is usually fine even on crowded weekend days. My one small complaint is I'd like to see the musical instrument equipment there fixed at some point as my kiddos have been wanting to bang the gongs.”

“Large play structure for kids. The ground is the squishy rubber stuff, which is so much better than sand. An ethnically diverse set of parents and children come here.”

“The best place for my 3 years old son. The gates always close that keep our baby safe. We love it.”
