đ Paramus, NY
Large playground within Van Saun Park in Paramus featuring equipment for multiple age groups including toddlers, a seasonal splash zone, picnic areas, and restrooms. Adjacent to a zoo, carousel, and train rides for a full day out.
Very nice family park for kids. There are several playgrounds in the area and space for picnics with seating. Right next door is the admission for the small zoo that includes the carousel and train ride which is fun for the kids too. They maintained good safety precautions with social distancing and sanitizing the train seats after every ride. The price is good for the attractions.
đ Family Action Verdict
Van Saun Park's playground works well as both a standalone visit and as part of a longer day combining the zoo, carousel, and train. Toddlers and young children are well-served by the age-appropriate equipment and open space. The playground stays open past zoo hours, so families can extend the visit after the zoo closes.

âMy son is young, only 13 months. There are tons of options for him here. Some parks focus on bigger kids, this has options for a wider age group. I've come several times this summer, and it's never empty. Even when its busy you can find a spot. The energy of other people around is a nice back drop and helps the baby socialze. Its a good park. Come and visit!â

âGreat playground part of van saun park. Multiple jingle gym designed for different age groups. Bathrooms nearby. Maps says it's closed by 430 but that must be referring to the zoo/train/carousel because I was there way pay 430 as was others.â

âA great area that I have been visiting for over 10 years with my boys. Plenty of items to enjoy even as they grew older and go to the zoo mostly and train.â

Overview
Van Saun Park's playground offers equipment scaled for both toddlers and older children across a large, well-maintained space. A seasonal splash zone adds water play in warmer months. Restrooms and picnic seating are on-site. The adjacent zoo, carousel, and train rides operate on their own schedule and admission, extending the outing well beyond playground time. The playground itself remains open past zoo closing hours, making it a standalone destination even when other attractions wrap up.
