1 / 3Sandpiper Playground
đ Queens, NY
Rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy, this Queens playground features modern slides, swings, climbing structures, and a spray pad popular for summer cool-downs. Free entry and all-ages equipment make it a go-to neighborhood stop.
Great for kids any age and good time to fun . Cool sprinkler and playground to enjoy the sunshine . This was the first rebuilt playground from Hurricane Sandy. From what I see they have done a good work. When I pass by it's very popular. ..
đ Family Action Verdict
Strongest for families with mixed-age children visiting nearby beaches who want a post-beach play stop with a rinse-off option. The spray pad runs in summer heat and the equipment suits all ages well. Arrive early on hot weekends â this playground gets very popular and can crowd quickly.

âReally nice playground. New and clean. Nice variety for tots to kids age we would say. Spray pad is not open when we went as it is still April. Can imagine it would be busy in summerâ

Overview
Sandpiper Playground was the first Queens playground rebuilt after Hurricane Sandy, resulting in modern, well-designed equipment spanning toddler through older-child use. The spray pad and sprinkler zone are the headline draw in summer. Swings, slides, and multiple climbing structures keep kids busy year-round, and the beach proximity makes it a natural second stop after a sandy day.
