1 / 3The Sensory Play Studio
๐ Brooklyn, NY
Prospect Lefferts Gardens play studio featuring sensory bins, movement and music classes, creative arts stations, STEM exploration, and weekly rotating activities. Toddler-focused with a strong membership community.
I cannot say enough beautiful things about this play sensory studio. From the moment you walk in, you feel that this space was created with intention. It isnโt just aesthetically stunning โ it is thoughtfully designed to nurture a childโs development in the most natural and powerful way. Every area invites meaningful exploration. There are immersive spaces for music, art, floristry, beauty, laundry play, pet care, life sciences, and so much more. Each station feels purposeful โ not random toys on shelves, but carefully curated, research-backed materials that strengthen cognitive, sensory, and social growth. What amazes me most is the impact. My child can identify long words without ever formally reciting the alphabet or learning syllables โ simply from engaging with the specialized tools in this studio. That speaks volumes about the power of intentional, sensory-based learning. This is more than a play space. Itโs an environment where children build confidence, curiosity, independence, and real-world awareness โ all while feeling safe and inspired. Truly a gift to families.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and preschoolers who value structured developmental play over open free-play. The rotating weekly programme keeps visits fresh for members, and the nature play component โ including live animal care โ adds something most Brooklyn play spaces don't offer.

โWe first visited the Sensory Play Studio in October, and from the moment we stepped in, we knew we had found something truly special. What started as a single visit quickly turned into a regular part of our livesโthis studio has genuinely become our second home. The space is thoughtfully designed to inspire creativity, exploration, and growth. It offers endless opportunities for my child to play, learn, and socialize in a safe and nurturing environment. As a homeschooling family, the studio has been an incredible resource, providing both structure and freedom for our journey. What truly sets this place apart is the unwavering support and genuine care from the owner and her family. They go above and beyond to make every child and parent feel welcome, seen, and supported. Their passion and dedication shine through in everything they do. We are so grateful for this community and canโt imagine our routine without the Sensory Play Studio. It has made a lasting impact on our family, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a space where their child can thrive.โ

โWe couldnโt be more grateful for our experience at The Sensory Studio. Itโs truly a nurturing and enriching environment that goes far beyond the traditional classroom. The curriculum is incredibly well-roundedโfostering not only academic growth but also emotional, social, and creative development. They also have animals that the children learn to care for! What stands out most is the sense of community. Itโs a space where every child is seen, celebrated, and supported. The inclusivity is beautiful and intentional, embracing children of all abilities and backgrounds. My son has flourished here in ways I couldnโt have imagined, and itโs a testament to the dedication, warmth, and vision of the entire staff!โ

โWeโve been members for about 4 months now, and itโs honestly become one of my toddlerโs favorite places to be. The space is bright, clean, and thoughtfully set up โ everything encourages hands-on learning and independent play in true Montessori style. The staff are amazing โ warm, patient, and genuinely engaged with the kids. They make every visit feel welcoming and personal. We even celebrated my little oneโs 1st birthday here, and it couldnโt have been more perfect! I canโt stop raving about this studio โ itโs such a wonderful environment for little ones to learn, explore, and grow. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a fun, enriching play experience.โ
