1 / 2Kings Theatre
📍 Brooklyn, NY
Magnificently restored historic theater hosting concerts, comedy, and live performances. Best for older children and teens. Concessions are expensive and parking is sparse — plan transport in advance.
We went to Kings Theatre to see Fito Páez, and the experience was absolutely amazing. The venue is elegant, beautifully restored, and truly adds to the magic of any concert. The atmosphere made the night feel special from beginning to end. As for concessions, they offer beer, popcorn, and other snacks. The prices are on the higher side, but that’s expected with a captive audience—nothing out of the ordinary for a venue of this level. You can definitely visit with confidence; the theater is stunning and the staff was great. Just keep in mind that parking around the area is not easy. Street parking is limited, and in our case, we ended up parking about 10 minutes away since we had a dinner beforehand. If you’re planning to drive, give yourself extra time or consider alternative transportation. Overall, Kings Theatre is a fantastic place to enjoy a concert, and our Fito Páez night was unforgettable. Highly recommended! 🎶👏
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with teenagers or older children attending a specific performer or show they're genuinely excited about. The venue itself is an experience — the restored architecture is worth arriving early to appreciate. Younger children may find the scale and formality of the space difficult.

“Attended Twilight in Concert here recently. This theater is absolutely stunning and clean; staff were hospitable and did a great job in ushering people on time and have them seated where they were assigned. The concert itself was immersive and nostalgic. The live band did a phenomenal job in performing along with the movie. There was alot of laughter and applause (but at the right times). I truly enjoyed my experience.”

“Went to see Gary Owens February 7th. The theatre was clean, the setting was great. The drink prices thou was a little much. 50 bucks for an IPA and a double jack and coke. But it was well worth it. Will definitely come here again.”

“Great theater! A bit strict with water and gum policy… but I enjoyed watching Charlie and Brown here! Will be going back for Shinee KEY concert soon. Has lots of local food options around the theater too.”

Overview
Kings Theatre is one of Brooklyn's architectural showpieces — a 1929 movie palace restored to full ornate splendour, seating 3,000 across two levels with excellent acoustics. The venue hosts touring concerts, comedy shows, and cultural events year-round. Staff are consistently praised for organisation and professionalism. Concessions run very expensive relative to comparable venues. Street parking within walking distance is genuinely scarce; public transit is the most reliable arrival option.
