1 / 3Vinland Playground
📍 Brooklyn, NY
A scenic waterfront playground in Shore Road Park with baby swings and beautiful bridge views. Best for families with toddlers seeking a quieter play space, though ongoing construction may cause closures.
It was great to find a opening in the fence and have the kids enjoy what is still under construction, with 2 guys on site, one working, one watching the other one work, at this rate the playground will be fixed in 2025, not in 2024. The Parks Department is asleep in supervising this work project.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with babies and toddlers seeking a quieter playground with beautiful water and bridge views. The scenic Shore Road Park location is lovely, but expect ongoing construction work and potential closures that may disappoint after a long walk.

“Two sets of baby swings, though one set faces the sun so it's basically unusable. Baby likes the park. Very scenic view of the bridge and water and not crowded.”

“Great Scenic area Shore Road Park South. Could use some maintenance improved accessibility. Staircase has handle for baby carriage or handicap convenience. There is a fully accessible ramp at 98th Street. Vinland Park is closer to Oliver Street”

Overview
Vinland Playground features two sets of baby swings and offers stunning waterfront views of the bridge from its Shore Road Park location. The playground provides a quieter alternative to busier Brooklyn playgrounds with pram access and free entry. Families should be aware of ongoing construction work that may result in temporary closures or limited access to play equipment.
