1 / 2Woodtree Playground
📍 Queens, NY
Well-maintained Queens playground featuring rare infant-suitable swings, working sprinklers, and equipment for all ages. Popular with families but can get crowded in summer.
Always lively with plenty of kids abd adult supervision. I like to come and just sit on a bright day and enjoy the sounds of: play. Clean, well maintained.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
This is an excellent choice for families with young children, particularly toddlers who will benefit from the rare infant-suitable swings and working sprinklers. The playground offers a clean, supervised environment but visit early or on weekdays to avoid summer crowds. While the equipment is showing its age, the reliable facilities and safety make it worth the trip.

“Working wc, working sprinklers and there are swings suitable for 1 year olds (that's pretty rare in playgrounds around Astoria)”

“I love this playground and have been taking my daughter here for years. Even though we moved from Astoria back in 2010 whenever we are in the area and looking for a park to sit down and enjoy the weather or play fetch with our we still choose this park. If you hate crowded parks get here early or come on a week day. But summers it can get packed. Rarely ever any trouble here.”

“The playground is decent but a little bit dated. There are swings and slides for toddlers and older children. There are also sprinklers and basketball/handball courts. It's a good place to take your children to play or to shoot some hoops yourself but could benefit from renovations.”

Overview
Woodtree Playground offers swings and slides for toddlers and older children, working sprinklers, basketball and handball courts, and functioning restrooms. The playground is particularly noted for having swings suitable for one-year-olds, which are uncommon in the Astoria area, making it a valuable destination for families with very young children.
