I gotta give a shoutout to this ice rink! I went there the other day and it was super fun. The workers there are super kind and helpful. I was struggling with tying my skates and I asked one of the workers she would help me and she was really nice. Its a chill and affordable place overall with a cafe that has great popcorn chicken. The girls giving out skates had great smiles and were so beautiful! The two girls that look alike and the girl with the curls were total troopers. I also had a super nice LONG conversation with Eli one of the guys who drives the zambonis and he made me feel so warm. It inspired me to start driving a zamboni. Its always been a dream of mine. I will definitely be back. Love this place.

This is an excellent budget-friendly option for families wanting to try ice skating, with genuinely caring staff who help injured children and struggling skaters. Best for beginners and casual family outings, though avoid busy weekends if possible due to overcrowding. The affordable pricing makes it perfect for testing if kids enjoy skating before investing in more expensive rinks.

โ€œThis ice arena truly has improved over the past months. I visited this afternoon with my family and, I have seen the workers who are so attentive and dedicated to their work. Especially with one of the young boys quick pace to help console and attend to a crying child who seemed to be injured. It is an amazing thing to see such young people take charge and improve the environment and quality of ice skating with empathy and compassion. I definitely will be visiting again after seeing how hardworking and caring the staff is to make this an enjoyable experience!โ€

โ€œOverall a great experience, the workers were for the most part very fast and diligent. one of the skate guards wazeef and the other girl were very fast and helpful towards the people who fell and got hurt, and they work extremely well together. the only reason I gave it 4 starts would have to be because one of the boys was vaping on duty, extremely unprofessional.โ€

โ€œif you're going to enforce a "no phones/headphones" rule, please enforce it for everyone, or at least don't make your blatant double-standard obvious and visible to everybody else. it's really frustrating to see staff let their friends who don't even work at world ice arena use their phones on the ice and keep their airpods in during public skate, without letting anyone else (regardless of skill level) do it. i'd understand enforcing the rule if i could barely stand on rental skates and was falling and knocking into people left in right: yes, in that case, wearing headphones would put me or someone else in danger, but i very clearly know what i'm doing. i just want to listen to my music :( this is the only rink i know of that has a no-headphones rule as far as i am aware, and i really don't see the point in forcing people who know what they are doing to adhere to it as well. many elements are banned, and few rules are enforced for skaters besides skating fast: even this isn't always followed, especially if the skaters are friends of a rink guard or other staff member. i honestly do not feel safe doing elements in any corner of the rink because i feel as though i'm always about to bump into somebody. world ice arena is extremely reasonably-priced and has greatly improved since new management took over, especially in terms of reputation, and i can't say anything bad about it. however, the slight favoritism with staff vs. non-staff can be frustrating, and was especially frustrating in the past, as many skaters would literally admit to my face that they would get in for free just by knowing someone who works there, but i do not believe that this happens as frequently anymore. additionally, the overcrowding on most weekends, especially sundays, gets to a point. after reading several complaints about these same issues from up to several years ago, i implore that someone addresses this.โ€
