1 / 2Allenwood Park
π Great Neck, NY
Well-maintained park featuring separate playground sections for different age groups, a seasonal sprinkler area, restrooms, shaded picnic tables, and a Little Free Library near the rear entrance. Parking readily available on surrounding streets.
Nice and clean park in the neighborhood. Lots of space for kids and dogs to play. There's a field as well as a gazebo. Lots of trees in the area so plenty of shade. The picnic tables are spread out throughout the park so it's nice that you can get some privacy for conversations although I imagine in the warmer months that space fills up quickly. There is good parking on the streets nearby if needed. There is also a Little Free Library by the rear entrance that has a few books for children (inventory may vary when you go, as expected with LFLs).
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children of mixed ages who want a clean, well-resourced neighbourhood park with separate play zones so different age groups can enjoy appropriate equipment simultaneously. The sprinkler area adds a water play option in summer.

βLots of parking. Many benches and picnic tables . Lots of trees and shaded areas to just have a picnic and enjoy and nice summer day. Very clean and maintained. Restrooms on site as well. My favorite park so far. My kids love coming here and they always have a great time.β

βThe place was awesome for playing and biking around! It's a pretty safe environment, but I don't recommend going alone at night if you're young. But you'll probably meet some of your friends there and have a blast. There is plenty of space for your dog or for meditationβ

βNice park shade by playgrounds. Easy parking. Available restrooms. Two different sections of playgrounds for different ages. There is a sprinkler park here also. There are some other fields here and nice areas to walk and a small pond with a place to sitβ
