1 / 3Emery Park
đ Alhambra, CA
Compact neighborhood park in Alhambra with recently updated playground equipment, picnic tables, barbecues, restrooms, and an activity room. Easy on-site parking and good sightlines for supervising young children.
Pleasant mini park for local families to gather. Small park that houses a neighborhood recreation facility, a place where children's programs can be done. Old growth eucalyptus and other trees intermingle with the play ground and park benches. Water fountain for drinking or refilling water bottles. Public restrooms kept tidy. Parking sufficient for a moderately large party. Play ground small-child friendly with adult supervision.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2â5 who want an uncrowded neighborhood playground with easy supervision. The compact footprint is a practical advantage for parents of toddlers and preschoolers. Late afternoon visits offer better shade. The activity room has historically hosted seasonal events including holiday programs.

âNot much shade during the midday. Toilets are stainless steel. Water fountain and doggie poop bags. Small park but could picnic here. Good for 2-5 year olds. Easy to find parking in their 10 car parking lot. Or can park on the street. Jungle gym was clean because it rained the night before.â

âBeen coming here since I was a little kid. Also brought my nieces and nephews! I remember them in a haunted house inside for halloween! Not to mention boy scout meetings!â

âIt is more like a playground now since they updated the play area recently. Not crowded. A lot of shade towards late afternoon. No BBQ grills. Kids love it!â

Overview
Emery Park features modern playground equipment updated in recent years, open grass areas, picnic tables, barbecues, and on-site restrooms. A small activity room with kitchen facilities supports community programs. The park is compact enough that parents can supervise children across the entire area from a central position. A 10-space on-site lot plus street parking is available. Shade increases in the late afternoon as tree coverage improves.
