AMC Village 7
π Manhattan, NY
Village cinema with fully reclining seats and clean facilities. Note that this location only accepts digital payments, which frustrates some families.
We came on Thursday excited to watch Dead to Rights (Nanjing Massacre), but the hard drive hadnβt arrived yet. Nora, the manager, went above and beyond to rearrange things for us. Thanks to him amazing effort, we returned on Friday and finally enjoyed the movie. The whole experience showed truly outstanding customer service β Nora turned a small setback into a wonderful, memorable visit!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families comfortable with digital payments who prioritize comfort and cleanliness. The fully reclining seats make it great for all ages, even if you end up in front row seats. However, cash-preferring families should consider other AMC locations that still accept cash payments.

βItβs tough to build a new multiplex cinema in Downtown Manhattan, but this place is a great attempt at that in the early 90βs - and itβs been well adapted to todayβs standards. The screens take the entire wall and the seating is very comfortable with more than enough leg room, even in the fully reclined position. They have a great location and it's always a good experience.β

βBeen going to this theater for years, no complaints. Most recently I took my daughter here last minute and got tickets at the very front of the theater cuz everything else was sold out, thanks to the reclining seats I was able to comfortably watch the movie and wasn't bothered by the viewing angle from the crappy seats.β

βI used to love this place but I find myself going to amc at 19th street more because this place no longer accept cash. the last few times I was here I wanted to buy the jaws cup and the anaconda Popcorn bucket. I had to use the cash to card machine but I ended up not buying it for this reason. I love carrying and paying with cash. i was here a week ago and again I didnβt buy anything. I used my amc points. On payday I remember I came in to watch five nights at Freddyβs. Verizon was having an outage so I was trying to unlock my debit card to use Apple Pay but my data wasnβt working due to the outage. So I ended up canceling my reservation and going to amc east 19th street. I refuse to use the cash to card machine. I used to buy lots of popcorn buckets and junk food here in the past because using cash was convenient but itβs not worth it to be standing on the line then ordering my food and merch then getting off line to use the cash and card machine. Thatβs embarrassing to have people in line waiting. if I donβt have any amc points I donβt come here. I also respect the theater business so I donβt sneak in food. I know movie theater earn their money through concessions and thatβs why I donβt sneak in food. the employees are friendly and the theater are super clean. I have no complaints against any employees. one of the reasons why I love this location because itβs always clean. I always have a positive experience when Iβm here. If you want my business again start accepting cash and get rid of this β cashless β nonsense. Stop forcing people to use digital payment methods.β

Overview
Downtown Manhattan cinema featuring fully reclining seats across multiple auditoriums, clean facilities, and an on-site cafe. The venue offers pram access and change rooms for families, though operates on a cashless-only payment system that some visitors find inconvenient.
