Premium cinema experience with IMAX screens, luxury seating, and full food service. However, families report consistent service problems and operational issues that detract from the upscale experience.

Elegant open space. Outdoor and indoor bars with food service. Staff on point very helpful and kind. Seats were spacious and comfortable. Sound of speakers are loud and crisp very good. Please enjoy Inglewoods Finest.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

This luxury cinema is not recommended for families despite its attractive lobby. The premium pricing ($120+ for two people with snacks) comes with consistently poor service, missing food orders, and maintenance issues. Families would be better served at traditional theaters like AMC or Regal for a more reliable movie experience.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Budget $60+ per person including food and drinks
Parking costs $30+ even with validation for longer movies
🎟️Food orders frequently delayed or missing - consider eating before

Having had great experiences at the Cinépolis in Westlake, I was excited to visit this new, better version. But they need to get their operations cleaned up. Ostensibly, you're paying for a premium experience. For two people, sodas, popcorn, and a few appetizers, we were in for $120. Consider that moving forward. We ordered 6 items. Two were out of stock, including one soda. The back and forth to resolve the soda issue left me without a drink for 25 minutes. We also ordered a salad, which was delivered with a spoon. When we tried to resolve this, another spoon was brought 10 minutes later. Another 10 and a fork finally arrived. Now, popcorn and drinks are supposed to be bottomless refills. You can do this via the website or the physical service button. We ordered on the website several times, and engaged the button. After the initial service (LotR: Return of the King extended, 5 hours) the servers were just gone. Missing. Without a trace. We were without food, drink, and service for most of the film. Until they wordlessly interrupted the climax of the movie to drop off the check. It was insane. Then, parking. There is a nearby garage which Cinépolis validates for. But again, our movie was 5 hours. So we ended up paying $30 for parking after validation. Finally, the bathroom had no soap or towels, and one clogged toilet. And concerningly sticky floors. The screens and seats are fine. Not amazing, but fine. I think Cinépolis Inglewood is working on a different definition of luxury.

This afternoon, I ventured out to visit and try to enjoy a movie at this location, but I should have checked the reviews to gauge what the experience would be like. After buying my ticket for Avatar, I went to my seat and tried to order. I pressed the button to summon the waiter, and 25 minutes later, as the movie was starting, the server finally arrived to take my order. I ordered a chicken sandwich with fries, Coke Zero, and popcorn. The waitress took my Amex for the charges and then told me that my order would be placed. After over an hour, about halfway through the movie, a food runner mistakenly brought me popcorn meant for the group next to me. At that point, I asked her about my drink and the rest of the food, but she said she didn't know anything about it and could only bring the drink if I told her what kind I was supposed to have. The food runner brought me my drink and left quickly, without providing an update on the rest of my order. By then, I was so upset I decided not to say anything since the film was about three-quarters of the way through. To my surprise, about 20 minutes before the movie ended, the server who took my order brought me the check—including charges for all the food I never received. I protested, asking why I was being charged when I didn't get any of the food. She replied that I had placed the order and didn't know why I didn't receive it. I told her I wasn’t going to pay for it, and she said she would talk to the manager. The server returned with a bill showing charges for drinks and popcorn I didn't have, nor was it what I originally ordered. I had to miss the last 15 minutes of the movie to get the manager to correct these wrongful charges. I then asked to speak with the general manager, and to my surprise, after speaking with him, he didn’t seem to care about my missing the end of the movie; he just apologized for the experience and said he would investigate. That made me feel like he didn't care about customer service or trying to resolve the issue. It's a shame that such a nice theater employs staff and managers who are this incompetent. What a shame.

My wife and I came to Cinépolis Inglewood on Christmas Day, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. First off, the theater was clearly understaffed. Nobody validated or checked our tickets when we entered and it felt as if you could just walk in without paying. The movie was scheduled to start at 10:30 PM, but employees were still cleaning from the previous showing, and the theater didn’t open until almost 11 PM. I will add that they didn’t even do a good job, as there were leftover trays on the side and food throughout the floor as we walked in. The food is overpriced and not worth it. My wife ordered pepperoni crunch rolls, which were $15 for just two! I also ordered popcorn and never received it. I ended up leaving my seat to ask about it and was told by an employee that the kitchen closed at 11 PM and that “a lot of orders came through.” Lol. That is not my problem! Why offer in-seat ordering, if you can’t even fulfill orders properly? The employee then said “hopefully you placed it before then.” I told him that I had placed my order before the movie started. Only after that did he go to the back and brought out the popcorn, which wasn’t warm or fresh at all and tasted like whatever was left for the night. One of Cinépolis’ main selling points is ordering from your seat and having food brought to you, yet that didn’t even work. Why order “bottomless” popcorn or soda if nobody is going to come and refill it? There’s a service button you can press for service, yet no one came throughout the entire movie. Upon leaving, I noticed a queue screen showing my seat, “G1” waiting for 1 hour and 11 minutes. To make things worse, there were teenagers constantly walking up and down the theater, talking and on their phones. It honestly felt like some hadn’t even paid, especially since several left early and kept switching seats. This theater markets itself as “Luxury Cinemas,” but the experience was meager at best. Basic things like starting on time and delivering ordered food were not met. Next time, I’ll just go to AMC or Regal.
