Large Brooklyn playground featuring multiple playsets, basketball and handball courts, plus plenty of shaded open space. Popular with families but best visited outside peak afternoon hours.

π Family Action Verdict
This expansive playground works well for families with children of all ages, offering climbing structures, sports courts, and plenty of open space under shade trees. Best visited outside the 12-3pm window when it gets overwhelmingly crowded and noisy. While generally well-maintained and accessible, recent cleanliness concerns suggest checking conditions before longer visits.

βHuge park spanning multiple blocks on the border of Midwood Neighborhood. Lots to do with multiple playsets, basket, and tennis courts. This place is always business but very welcoming.β

βLove this neighborhood playground! Colonel David Marcus is clean, safe, and fun β awesome playsets for little ones, basketball/handball courts for older kids, and plenty of open space. Wheelchair accessible with ramps, well-maintained by Parks, and the historical nod to Mickey Marcus adds nice meaning. Perfect for Midwood families on sunny days β quick walk from Ocean Pkwy. Minor crowds on weekends, but still a solid 5 stars gem!β

βThis is a really decent park with a kid's playground in an urban area, right next to the Ocean Parkway. There are frequently squirrels running around but the negative thing about this park is the high amount of loud little children [crying, screaming, wailing and yelling] in the timeframe of about 12PM-3PM, so be warned of them loud and annoying ankle biters!β
