Two distinct play sections — a newly designed modern area and an older section — with equipment for ages 3-16. Operational bathrooms, ample parent seating, and Avenue M Q train stop steps away.

Beautifully park and very convenient location. There is Q train near by, Avenue M station. The park has two playgrounds for kids. There are plenty of benches to rest and watch your kids while they having fun. You can bring your own pet to the park and play with. I always visit this park with my 5 years old niece and we often bring out pet, parakeet bird 🐦, with us there. Amazing place ❤️💖💝🧡💙💚

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for Brooklyn families with kids aged 3-16 who want a well-organized outdoor space close to transit. The age zoning lets multiple siblings play simultaneously without conflict. The newer section is significantly better-equipped than the older area — steer younger kids there first.

This park is mostly redone and is very peaceful and good place to play and rest, it has fun for the children and basketball ball courts and other for playing (gets busy sometimes as with every park) if you live in the area you should add this park to your places to spend time

Great park for children age 3 to 16. Slides, sprinklers, climbing ropes, and swings. Plenty of shade, benches to sit on, parking on the streets available. Great family fun

There's an older section which is okay and a newly designed section which is really nice. Plenty of benches for the parents to sit.

Overview

Kolbert Playground features two clearly separated zones: a recently redesigned section with new equipment and an older section with established fixtures. The layout provides natural separation between smaller and bigger kids, with basketball courts kept apart from the play areas. Benches are plentiful throughout. Bathrooms are operational, street parking is available, and the Q train's Avenue M stop provides direct access for car-free families.
