If you’re looking for a fun, creative, indoor NYC activity, Color Factory is truly one of the best experiences in the city. My fiancΓ© and I went on a weekend (a Saturday evening) and highly recommend buying tickets in advance. From the moment you walk in, the staff sets the tone with this upbeat, welcoming energy that makes the whole experience feel special right away. You’re given a QR-code card at check-in, and they offer a coat/ bag check so you can move through hands-free, which is perfect because there are interactive cameras in every room. Each room has its own color theme, vibe, and photo setup, and you simply scan your card at the camera station. The photos come out incredible and are emailed to you in less than 24 hours. (And they’re all included for free, which is extremely rare for NYC attractions.) Every room feels like a totally different world, playful, cinematic, whimsical, and just beautiful to look at. It’s great for solo adventures, creatives, friend outings, and honestly one of the best date-night ideas if you want something fun and alcohol-free that still feels special. The staff deserves a huge shoutout, they were friendly, helpful, and genuinely made the experience even better. And don’t forget the iconic blue gelato at the end. It’s such a cute finishing touch. There are a lot of interactive attractions in NYC, but this one stands out for its creativity, the quality of the photos, and just how joyful the whole experience is. Highly recommend.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

β€œI had the absolute best time at the Color Factory immersive exhibit. The best part is that I was on a solo celebration trip and was able to get lots of awesome pics of myself without having to ask strangers or only take selfies. It is set up so cool and easy. You get a little QR code to scan at any other the multiple iPads and it gives you a count down then you pose and it captures your fun! The staff were so fun and friendly and will take pics for you too if you ask. The had tasty colored fortune cookies and loads of interesting taffies. Not one person rushed another and they don’t let too many people through at once so everyone can enjoy themselves and take as many pictures as they want. At the end, they sent me every photo I snapped with my QR code, mine was 67 in total and here are my favorites. I highly recommend this experience for yourself or bring friends and family. Dress up for extra fun! I wanted to capture NYC in winter with mine but they do have a coat check area so you can remove layers if need be. They do have a bathroom for patrons that was clean and bright, very colorful experience from start to finish! I truly appreciate them so much and had the best time!”

β€œI went today [Monday] with my daughter's 4th grade class for a field trip and we had lots of fun. I like that it was the beginning of the week and it wasn't crowded. The kids love the vibrant and interactive rooms. They have different rooms such as music room, confetti room, ball pit, silent dance rooms and etc.. I like the different attractions that comes with the rooms. I think my favorite was the silent music/dance room. I think the confetti room and ball pit was the students favorite rooms. They had so much fin those areas. In the silent/music rooms we got to wear our own personal headphones, that we could listened to music through and the kids loved it every moment of it. Unfortunately, the tour goes in one direction. Hence, once you leave a room you cannot go back, you have to keep moving forward. The receptionist/tour guide [Elizabeth] for the first part of the guide was very kind and professional. I highly recommend taking the little ones or even adults to go see the color factory and have a fun day out in the city.”

β€œβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ So Much Fun at Color Factory! OMG we had so much fun at Color Factory! I absolutely loved the whole concept β€” every room was interactive, creative, and just pure joy. The confetti room was my absolute favorite, followed closely by the spin room. My daughter was very impressed and already wants to come back… and trust me, that is not an easy win. I’m so glad she enjoyed this experience as much as I did. If you’re looking for something fun, colorful, and memorable, take your little ones and enjoy!”
