âSome communities are focused on cutting back: lower taxes, less government. But others, such as Dobbs Ferry, take a different approach. When searching for a place to retire, my husband and i considered the obvious: weather, available housing stock, proximity to shopping, etc. But what about the fabric of the community? What actions does/has the community done (taken) to welcome people of all ages, seniors, working parents and children. One of the gems in Dobbs Ferry is a lovely park, Gould Park, with infrastructure intended to be enjoyed by its residents! Gould Park goes a long way to promoting community sports, leisure and a sense of togetherness with its basketball court and amazing play machines for younger children.â
