Kenneth Hahn Hummingbird Garden
π Los Angeles, CA
A dedicated hummingbird garden with multiple feeders inside Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area, Los Angeles. Free to visit as part of the park. Best for a focused 10-15 minute nature stop.
100% my favorite nature gem of Los Angeles. Iβve come here for years and spend at least 10 minutes just in awe of the hummingbirds and other wildlife.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who can sit or stand quietly for short periods to observe wildlife. Works well as a 10-15 minute addition to a Kenneth Hahn park outing rather than a standalone destination. Children who are reactive around bees should be kept close to an adult near the feeders.

Overview
Multiple feeders attract a consistently large population of hummingbirds that can be observed from close range. The garden is small and set within the larger Kenneth Hahn park, making it easy to combine with a full park visit. Seating is sparse β benches fill quickly. Bees are occasionally present near feeding stations where sugar water accumulates.
