Marie Curie Playground
π Queens, NY
Sprawling Queens playground complex with multiple play structures, a free three-foot-deep swimming pool with lifeguard supervision, and a separate sprinkler playground. On-site restrooms available.
This massive playground complex is located in queens and has a sprinkler playground as well which was on early June when we went. It has several unique features which are hard to describe in writing. Pool is three feet deep all around and is free.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and young children who want free water access on hot days without paying pool admission. The combination of pool, sprinklers, and multiple distinct play structures means different children find different draws. Bring a towel and change of clothes. Check pool open status before visiting β seasonal closures apply.

βPerfect place for toddlers. Not the newest playground but it's large enough to keep kids busy for a while. Shockingly still. There are restroom facilities right at the playground! That's impressive.β

βBest public playground I've seen. They have a lot of playset and my daughter had genuine fun here.β

βItβs a rather big playground. One of the playgrounds in Queens that has a swimming pool. Pre-COVID they used to allow 10 kids in the pool with supervision of an adult and a life guard. Right now, swimming pool is closed. On a hot 95 degree weather day, this is perfect for children to get away from screen time at home. Theyβve got sprinklers here for them to play with to cool off. If they need to dry off, the playground is big enough for a lot of children of all ages, especially during social distancing. The ice cream truck is always around too. I guess my only complaint is that the drains around the sprinklers are covered a lot so the water puddles. Have to constantly clear the drain. Otherwise, great place to kill time.β

Overview
Marie Curie Playground is among the largest playground complexes in Queens, featuring multiple distinct play areas with unique and hard-to-describe structures, a sprinkler section active from early summer, and a three-foot-deep free swimming pool with adult and lifeguard supervision. On-site restroom facilities are a standout perk in a borough where they are scarce. Equipment is on the older side and some metalwork shows rust, and the sheer scale keeps children occupied for extended visits.
