1 / 2Midwood Playground
π Brooklyn, NY
Recently renovated playground in Midwood, Brooklyn with separate toddler section, jungle gym for older kids, a large slide, and two basketball courts with adjustable rims. Free entry with pram access.
Playground, was renovated nicely! Has a section for toddlers, a jungle gym for kids a little older, and 2 basketball courts for older kids...one rim is about 6 to 10 feet for the younger kids just starting out. There's a track and field area that compliments the size of the playground. The downside is if you go in the late afternoon there tends to be young teens skateboarding and running around. If you have young kids be mindful of the older kids playing, they don't always pay attention to where they run, bike, skate etc
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children across a range of ages β the split layout handles toddlers and school-age kids simultaneously. Morning and early afternoon visits avoid the afternoon teen crowds. Verify the park is open before visiting, as closure periods without notice have been reported. Bring scooters β the space accommodates them well.

βNice and clean place. Super bright exterior colors. And my kid loves the new BIG slide. Not too much to do there for my 2 year old but he still enjoys time spent there with scooter, drawing on a chalkboard, hiding in the small house or "playing" basketball. I recommendβ

βAs much as I love the playground it is never open. At first it was open since the morning than they started to open it around 3 pm and now it is closed for the past two weeks or so. What's the point of it?β

Overview
Midwood Playground's renovation added bright exterior colors, a dedicated toddler section, a jungle gym scaled for older children, a big slide, and two basketball courts β one with a rim adjustable between 6 and 10 feet for younger players. A chalkboard and small playhouse feature in the toddler area. Scooters fit well in the open spaces. Opening hours have been inconsistent according to reviewers, and the park can attract older teens during afternoon sessions.
